Blue Horse Preschool & Daycare is a small, family-centered childcare facility. We cater to the needs of your child rather than forcing your child into a system. We focus on teaching kids all the little life skills they don’t learn in school – like how to set the table, make muffins, exist inside a community, how to share, and how to resolve problems.

FIELD TRIPS
Adventure is a big part of how we learn here. About once a week, our school-aged and potty-trained kids head out to explore — from museums and parks to our favorite “Try Day” at the grocery store, where we pick something new to taste and talk about back at Blue Horse. Each trip turns curiosity into confidence, and everyday moments into discoveries.

We know movement matters just as much as math or reading. Our full playground gives kids the space to climb, run, and take a moment to breathe year-round. It’s where imagination meets motion, and where their bodies and brains grow stronger together.Â
COOKING CLASSES
Cooking is one of our favorite kinds of hands-on learning. Each week, our school-aged kids roll up their sleeves to make something new — from muffins to egg rolls — while practicing math, patience, teamwork, and creativity. When we cook, we use our hands and our brains to make something delicious and meaningful. Â

Katie and her staff meet this standard and even exceed it. My children come home happy from daycare and after school care and often wish they could have stayed even longer to enjoy time with friends they have made or, in particular, to create in the afterschool care art room. MEET THE TEAM AT BLUE HORSE
We take creating our team seriously here at Blue Horse. We background check each person and have an extended get-to-know-you period. We follow and exceed all the state-mandated checks and training. Each member of our team does __________ hours of training per year, and all of us are CPR and infant-CPR certified, in addition to these other certifications.
Katie Gow, Owner & Operator
“I’m a Jack of all trades, but for kids.”
Katie Gow attended BYU and graduated in human development – focusing on early childhood and art, primarily. She completed all the pre-requisites for nursing, childhood development, early childhood education, and art.
This background makes her perfect for running and managing Blue Horse; her love of art and childhood education means she knows how to teach kids and makes it engaging through hands-on play. Now, she uses her education to enrich the lives of kids and families in south Utah County.Â
Katie feels passionately about raising kids to be independent individuals, and also good members of our community. Her goals for kids at Blue Horse are to help them communicate well, learn skills that will help them day-to-day in their lives, and also to give them the space they need to grow, play, and have a great time before, during, and after school.
TEACHER KEIRA
Keira has worked for Blue Horse since late 2019, and might be the best snuggler of all time. Keira loves reading with the kids (they could go for hours) and hearing about their lives. She says no matter what is going on in her life, the moment she walks in and hears the kids come running, all is right with the world.
In addition to being a teacher at Blue Horse, Keira is a baker, a mom and a wife.Â
She loves being outdoors and going camping with her family.Â
TEACHER BONNIE
One of Katie’s daughters, Bonnie has been officially part of the Blue Horse team since 2023, but she’s been helping for longer.
Really, Bonnie’s strength is how fiercely she loves the kids – and holds them accountable at the same time.
She says she loves being a place where kids can have their big emotions and still know they are utterly adored.
In addition to being a teacher here, Bonnie loves making jewelry, studying psychology and Irish Dance.Â
TEACHER LINDSEY
Lindsey has been at Blue Horse since 2022, and she loves going on field trips with the kids. She works closely with Katie to find new and consistent field trips that are always a hit. She says she enjoys watching them be brave and try new things in new situations.Â
Lindsey is goofy, and loves to joke and play with the kids. You can find her snuggling or chatting with kids each day.Â
In addition to being a teacher at Blue Horse, Lindsey is an adventurer, mom and wife.Â
TEACHER PAIGE
Paige is a senior in high school and began working at Blue Horse in 2024. She does Irish Dancing and loves to get on the floor to play with the kids.

Bianca is our multi-lingual staff member, and she speaks 3 languages. She is beloved by all the kids.Â
TEACHER ADDISON
Addison is another of Katie’s daughters, and is especially great with our littles. She laughs with them and is good at helping them remember their boundaries – gently enforcing the no biting rule.Â
TEACHER STARLA
Starla is a favorite with the kids too, and has worked at Blue Horse since early 2025.Â
I know pretty much nothing else about her but the kids like her.Â
